Roundtable on Mapping the Digital Media in India

National Law University, Delhi, 10 am-5 pm

The roundtable is hosted by the Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University, Delhi in collaboration with the Centre for Culture, Media & Governance at Jamia Millia Islamia, the Centre for Internet & Society and Maraa – Media and Arts Collective, and supported by Open Society Foundations. Anja Kovacs is a speaker in the session on Digital Activism.

The roundtable is based around the Mapping the Digital Media in India report (MDM report), and will take into account the three consultations held earlier to discuss various parts of the report.

The roundtable consists of three sessions: one on spectrum issues, one on digital journalism and one on digital activism.

10:10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Introduction to the Mapping the Digital Media Report — Sameer Padania, Open Society Foundation and Vibodh Parthasarathi, CCMG, Jamia Millia 

10:30 a.m. — 11:45 a.m.: Session I: Spectrum Issues 

11:45 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.: Tea

12:00 p.m. ‑1:15 p.m.: Session II: Digital Journalism 

1:15 p.m. — 2:30 p.m.: Lunch

2:30 p.m. — 3:45 p.m.: Session III: Digital Activism
