ISOC Annual Event at IGF 2015

Workshop Room 2, IGF 2015, João Pessoa, Brazil

This event was organised on the sidelines of [IGF 2015](http://internetdemocracy.in/events/igf2015/) and focused on the WSIS+10 Review preparations. It was organised by the Internet Society (ISOC) and Anja Kovacs from the Internet Democracy Project participated in this side-event as a civil society representative.

This meeting informally gathered ISOC members and partners from business and civil society at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2015 to discuss preparations for the WSIS+10 Review, which will be held at the UN headquarters in New York in December. It was an opportunity to exchange perspectives on key issues within the negotiations amongst key stakeholders.

The discussions focused on where we are in the WSIS+10 Review process, what are the key issues and what are the main priorities for the civil society and business community going forward in the review. An idea for a joint statement was also brought forward at this meeting, which was then released later between the IGF and the high-level meeting for the WSIS+10 Review.
