Public Interest Litigation Workshop: Internet Rights Are Women’s Rights

Abstract
Persatuan Kesedaran Komuniti Selangor (EMPOWER) is organising this workshop for Malaysian lawyers, legal practitioners and human rights defenders – or those on the frontlines of human rights, justice and public interest litigation in Malaysia. Dr. Anja Kovacs is a co-facilitator.
The 4‑day workshop is aimed at deepening the analysis of legal practitioners and human rights defenders on the intersectionalities of internet, women’s rights, governance and human rights; and to build a network who advocate for human rights legislation and policy formulation at national level and who would respond collectively to issues around internet freedoms based on international human rights norms and feminist legal theory.
