Interlude 2018: My Privacy is Your Battleground
Abstract
Interlude is the yearly Winter School organised by the Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore. This year’s theme is ‘My Privacy is Your Battleground. “Your silence will not protect you.” – Audre Lorde’. The Winterschool ends with a conference cum exhibition, at which students will be exhibiting their work and experts will debate and discuss to energise the culmination of the Interlude. Nayantara R.will be speaking at a panel at the conference.
‘Interlude’ or the in-between is an experimental space at Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology, for pause, reflection, discussion, and an active, performative engagement. The vision is to create a space that lies in the intersection between academic learning and the commons, where diverse modalities are encouraged. Through presentations, workshops, performances, interventions and art, postgraduate students from Srishti and participating institutions come together for a critical exchange on the various aspects of privacy — an issue that is of crucial public importance.
The panel at which Nayantara will be speaking will take place on 12 December, at 4 pm.
