This is the second event in a series on digitalisation and democracy, organised by the Department of Public Policy Analysis at the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DAPP), together with the FGV Law School and the Embassy of Germany in Brazil. Dr. Anja Kovacs is speaking on a plenary panel on ‘To Regulate or not to regulate speech online – strengthening democracy for the Digital Age’ as well as in a workshop on ‘Data Science: How to analyse social media and big data in political science and law?’.

The aim of the event is to promote an exchange on the scale of the challenge and on possible concrete solutions to the influence of network society on democracy with panels and workshops. The debates will feature academics, experts, representatives of the public sector and civil society from Brazil, Germany and other countries.
