Asia-Pacific Internet Leadership Program
Abstract
The Asia Pacific Internet Leadership Program (APILP) will have its inaugural run on Sunday 3 August, in conjunction with the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) in Delhi, India. Anja Kovacs has been invited as a guest speaker, and will be addressing the WSIS +10 Review at the event.
The APILP seeks to develop the Asia Pacific region’s Internet governance leaders of tomorrow. The program is expected to help professionals from the Asia Pacific region better understand the global and regional Internet governance issues and processes. At the same time, the program allows access to comprehensive and structured knowledge on the various aspects of the Internet.
Join us for a one-day immersion session, as regional internet leaders speak on topics ranging from the background to Internet governance and NetMundial, to internet infrastructure and Domain Name System (DNS). Keep up to date on World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and Internet Governance Forum (IGF). Understand the significance of transition of the stewardship of the functions of IANA (Internet Assigned Names and Numbers) and the development on generic top-level domain names. All in one day!
