Abstract
The webinar is hosted by CUTS International. The webinar aims to facilitate the discussion on critical challenges such as – digital gender divide, the emergence of ‘datafied’ society and the resultant privacy and cyber-crime concerns for women, and roadblocks to women’s economic participation in the digital economy. Dr Anja Kovacs is invited to be a panelist.
CUTS International is involved in policy research and advocacy initiatives to promote optimal regulation and good governance in the digital economy and has published a series of policy briefs on technology and society interactions to promote inclusive and fair technology-led societal-growth.
The webinar aims to facilitate discussion among key stakeholders on the policy brief on ‘Women and Technology: Gender Equality in the Digital Ecosystem’, as the starting point of discussion on key challenges mentioned above.
The discussion is aimed towards building stronger discourse and narrative on these issues and recommend a way forward.
