Regulating Emerging Technologies

This conference is organised by the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. Dr. Anja Kovacs will be opening and moderating the session on ‘Building India’s Data Protection Framework’.

The aim of the conference is to bring together policy makers, industry representatives, academics, researchers and other stakeholders for a focused discussion on some of the issues connected with emerging technologies in India. The themes for discussion include:

  • Building India’s data protection framework,

  • Privacy, Aadhaar and the state,

  • Regulating digital payments, and

  • Competition and other regulatory challenges of new and emerging technology.

This will be a closed-door, invite only event featuring short talks, panel discussions and open debates.
